Problem

Limbo 41414 (www.41414.com) is an exciting new mobile marketing company that was recently written up in USA Today. They offer text message based "reverse bid auctions" of product ranging from cars to HDTV's.

Limbo needed to drive people to get involved with their auctions. So, they approached Atomic to develop a campaign that drove new "members" into their auction network. However, Atomic was also tasked with making this spot highly flexible so that new auctions could be added quickly and inexpensively. Further, Limbo did not have the budget to shoot new live footage for a hosted spot. And, did not want to be required to shoot footage for each new auction.

What We Did

Atomic developed a creative concept based around an animated :60-second spot. This spot established a base of convincing information about Limbo's auction and featured about 10 seconds of existing testimonial footage from Limbo. This spot tested successfully and had excellent DRTV lead generation rates (below $10 per lead).

Results

This TV campaign drove leads at very low cost per lead - proving that mobile response (SMS response) could be driven with higher quality advertising. After a successful first campaign, Atomic developed a series of campaigns including testing :15 and :30 second creative.
