Bringing over a decade of experience delivering brand DRTV campaigns, Doug Garnett has become a leading expert on innovative uses of DRTV to advance brands. He sits on the editorial board of Response Magazine and is an adjunct professor of general advertising at Portland State University. Besides being a regular speaker at marketing and advertising events, Doug is a regular contributor to a range of industry magazines where he shares his unique vision of how brand and retail clients can use the power of DRTV.
Doug's brand DRTV clients include AT&T, American Express, Apple Computer, Sears, Braun, DuPont (Teflon, Stainmaster), Rubbermaid, Bissel, and Hamilton Beach.
Previously, Doug's diverse career started by entering college on a music scholarship then graduating with two degrees in applied mathematics. This led to an early career as a rocket scientist (seriously—on the Atlas/Centaur launch vehicle), where he indulged his innate fascination with the universe. Doug's DRTV savvy was honed in his early career years of selling supercomputers and then through his subsequent 20-year career in marketing.
